Some recycling

posted by Rykk at

Dzeni brought up the topic of recycling - or tweaking - one's past works and I thought I'd post a couple of examples of just how different something can turn out either over the course of a long time between periods of working with it or simply from a zoom...

So this piece...(sorry about the watermark - I've sold this one in limited ed and need to protect the buyer as much as I can from image theft to preserve their expectation/right of some bit of exclusivity...)

Venezia

over time became this one...(note the oval at bottom and the one on the left in the new one)

Homework

And this one here:

Became this VERY different one when I zoomed an interesting arm of the spiral and something piqued my imagination...

Heavy Metal 2

Anybody else have some cool examples of tweaking themselves?

C-ya!

Mmm, I like these :-)

Probably the best I think I've seen - even with the watermark!

Clever, artistic and mind expanding!

Those are some amazing images. I found the last in your post particularly inspiring! Looking at the images, you can't really spot the "recycling" and perhaps that is what good recycling is really all about.
